Luigi is Chairman and founder of The Benigno Group of Companies and has been a respected member of the business community for many decades. A proud immigrant to Canada he arrived in 1962 from Abruzzo, Italy at the age of 17. Over several decades he built a large portfolio of residential and commercial real estate holdings including apartment buildings and commercial buildings in the heart of downtown Halifax. Just like any true entrepreneur, he has also owned several successful businesses over the years as well, from chrome plating to fine dining restaurants.
